Did you know Reach Out is planned each year by seven dedicated youth with little help from adults? The Planning Committee, otherwise known as the PC's, are elected each year by their peers to plan next years events. The only adults that assist with the planning of the events are the two deans, and three other staff that handle registration, missions, and the study. The PC's work very hard all year preparing for this one week of excitement, and would love for you to join them!

Hi! I am Adam and
I am a Reach Out 2008 PC. I am a senior at Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy and
love running Cross Country there. I heard about Reach Out my freshman year and I
have attended every year since. It's a place where I have made close friendships
unlike that anywhere else. It's a place where I could let my guard down, and
know that people still love and accept me. The worship and missions trips are
nearly indescribable, but the best part of the week is most definitely the
Candle Walk. You hear some amazing testimonies and stories about how God works
through real, average teenagers that you can actually relate to. It's a
wonderful place where your faith in God can grow and blossom. This year, I have
the privilege to serve you, and I have never been more excited.

LIA |

Hello friends! I
am Lia and am thrilled to be a 2008 PC. Reach Out Camp means so much to me in
various ways. Every year I am blessed to be surrounded by a wonderful group of
teenagers and staff at Lakeside, Ohio. They have helped me become a strong
Christian and have given me the assurance that life only gets better. I enjoy
praising and worshiping God through song each and everyday. The atmosphere at
Reach Out brings comfort to my soul and peace to my mind. It's a week of
laughter and a time to grow with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. There is no
need to fear your identity, for everyone is accepted with love and kindness at
camp. We all have a willingness to rectify our broken and sinful lives; Reach
Out gives you the power to change your actions and thoughts. Every Camper gets
the opportunity to go on a missions trip for a couple days. It's a time to help
others in need around Northern Ohio and a time to bond with a small group of
campers. This trip enables us to take everyone's strengths and show others what
this world is truly capable of. It gives us the knowledge of knowing that there
are needy people out there and that it only takes one human heart to make a
difference in someone's life. Reach Out is sensational in its own way. It's
unique with a new and great message every year. If we only have faith as small
as a mustard seed, then life itself would prove to be worthy and righteous. Come
explore your palette and see what Reach Out has to offer for you. I believe that
you never know when a life changing opportunity may come flying your way. Thanks
everyone, have a great year, stay safe, and take care of your Christian lives.
God Bless. |

TREVOR |

Hello everyone, this is Trevor. I will be a
senior this year and look forward to being one of the PC’s for
Reach Out 2008. I enjoy many things including math,
science, music, and serving the Lord. No, I haven’t the
faintest idea of what I want to study when I attend college.
Enough about me though. I could ramble on for Reach Out
and write a five paragraph essay, but I will attempt to condense
it down for your sake. Be prepared to encounter God in a
very real and changing way. If you open your heart in the
slightest way, you will notice the presence of a very real God.
Anyone on the planet could attend Reach Out and would be
fulfilled and feel loved in an instant. If a week of
friendship and happiness is what you wish for, look no further. |

ANDREA |

HI!!! I’m Andrea
one of your seven Reach Out ’08 PC’s. I was asked to talk about
Reach Out, what I
like about it and just general overall summary of the week. I thought about it
long and hard, the only thing I could come up with was that from the outside
looking in you can’t understand it, and from the inside looking out you can’t
explain it. I wish that I would be able to put into words the amazing feeling
and atmosphere that is Reach Out, but truly I am unable. What I can say is I
found a home at Reach Out a home that has never left me out and will never let me
down and that I think is what Reach Out is all about. And the Pier is a pretty
cool place to go too |

BENNETT |

Hello everyone!
I’m Bennett and I’ll be one of your 2008 Reach Out PC’s. I am currently a
senior at Thomas Worthington High School and a member of the Worthington United
Methodist Church. My favorite part about Reach Out is the mission trips.
You’ll be divided into a mission group where you’ll go do mission work around
various places in Ohio for two days. It’s a really neat experience as you get
to help out people in need as well as form tight bonds within your group. |

MORGAN |

Hello, my name is
Morgan. I am going into my senior year at chagrin Falls high school. I am going
to be one of your PC for next year. Reach out is such an amazing camp that you
can not completely understand until you come and check it out for yourself. This
is going to be my 5th year and I love it! I know you will to. Lakeside is the
town that we stay in while at camp and it is just beautiful. There are lots of
things to do such as shuffle board and shopping but, if it is a really hot day
you can always stop at one of the many ice cream stores and cool off. I hope to
see you this year! |

KELSEY |

Hey, I’m Kelsey
and I’m going to be a junior at Woodridge this year. I love to play volleyball
and play trumpet in the marching band. I also sing and write my own songs. The
thing that I look forward to the most when I come to Reach Out is all the
people. Every year I am pleasantly surprised that in just one week of camp, I
have made friends that are equal to or far surpass the friends that I have had
for years back at home. There is just something incredible about walking into a
room of friends and strangers alike, and knowing that you don’t have to be shy
because you already have one thing in common: God. I’ll admit it, I was a very
shy person my first week of camp. But I soon learned that everyone there was so
free; they could worship as loud as they wanted, pray as long as they wanted,
and be as wild and crazy as possible in all the fun activities. I was soon
sucked into the atmosphere at Reach Out, and can’t wait to go again next year. I
hope to see you there! |
