We like to have fun too!

Reach Out would not be possible without the help of about 50 very dedicated staff members! Each year these amazing adults give up an entire week of there summer to lead and supervise almost 200 campers. With the exception of a few year round staff positions, the only other obligation a staff member has through out the year is giving up a few hours in May for staff training day. Reach Out staff are volunteers, but staff members do get to eat the delicious camp food all week for free!

As a staff member you would be paired into small missions groups of about 10-12 youth, with one other adult leader of the opposite sex. Your mission group would meet a few times a day for some study exercises, games, or whatever other events are planned that day. Tuesday and Wednesday you would take your youth to your mission site, where you would stay overnight with your group. You would need to be able to drive a few youth in your vehicle to your mission site. During the week, as an adult leader you and one other adult would sleep in the comfortable Lakeside housing arrangements with your living group. Living groups are made up of about 10 youth of the same age and gender.

During times when you are not in your mission or living groups, you are just asked to be an adult supervisor and make camp a great experience for everybody at Lakeside! When campers are on free time, you may also have time to yourself to shop, enjoy the lake, go out to eat, or walk around Lakeside!

If you are unable to commit to an entire week, we can always use some help during our missions on Tuesday and Wednesday, especially drivers!
